| King is a very intelligent dog who has excelled in herding and tracking trials. Later this year we hope to test his obedience skills in the ring. HERDING After herding for only 2 months King gained his HIC title. The next day King was awarded the first pass towards his Herding Title and was also awarded Best German Shepherd in Trial against 17 other entries. King successfully passed his 2nd test one month later and received his herding title. The judge commented that King was the first GSD to be awarded a herding title at Erskine Park and he was a pleasure to watch in the ring. TRACKING King passed his first tracking trial in May 2009 and never looked back gaining his Tracking Dog Title by July and going on to complete tracks 4 and 5 with in the following 4 weeks. Two months into the 2010 tracking season KIng passed track 6 giving him his Tracking Dog excellent title and one week later KIng got his tracking championship title. The trail judges comment that given Ivan & King have only been tracking for a year it is quite a remarkable achievement. King is a very loving and friendly dog and many trial judges that have met him have commented on his lovely nature and temperament. |
